In Pennsylvania History classes, students
participated in a Fantasy Election Contest.
For each of the 50 states and the District
of Columbia, students predicted
whether Barack Obama or Mitt Romney
would carry the state. They also tried to
correctly pick the winners in the Senate
race and four House of Representatives
races for the state of Pennsylvania. For
the ladies’ class, Jade Lewis-McFall won
a tiebreaker over two other students to
finish with a total of 52 points out of a
possible 56. She correctly predicted 48
states and 4 state races. In the gentlemen’s
class, Rafael Rodriguez correctly predicted
every state except North Dakota
and was correct in all 5 of the state races,
finishing with 55 points. Congratulations
to Jade and Rafael, who will get to enjoy
a meal at Mr. Gibson’s expense.
